Vegan French Toast with Coconutmilk Nog

Yield 1/2 Loaf

This scrumptious recipe is made with seasonal spices, egg substitute and our Coconutmilk Nog.

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together all of the ingredients until well combined. If your egg substitute requires time to bloom or thicken then leave it to do so before continuing (see tip below).
  2. Preheat a pan to medium high and place a slice or two of bread face-down into the mixture. Allow the first side to soak for 30 seconds then flip over and repeat for the other side.
  3. Place some cooking oil in the pan then add your soaked slices.
  4. Cook each side for 2-4 minutes or until golden brown. If necessary, add additional cooking oil during the flip.
  5. Repeat with remaining slices and serve hot with maple syrup!

Tip for Egg Substitute:

Use your Culinary Coconutmilk to the very last drop with this simple kitchen hack, adding extra emulsification to flax eggs, chia eggs, or a “just-add-water” substitute:

  1. Save the last bit of your Culinary Coconutmilk and the container.
  2. Funnel in your favorite substitute and water according to the package instructions or recipe.
  3. Shake well and store in your fridge for up to 5 days!
