Classic Belgian Waffles

If you think dairy-free waffles were the stuff of dreams, you will happy to know your dreams have come true!


  1. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. In a separate, larger bowl mix together the maple syrup, apple sauce, non-dairy milk and vanilla.
  3. Once the wet ingredients are well incorporated, add the dry ingredients and mix well until combined.
  4. Cook according to your waffle iron’s directions. We cooked ours on medium heat for about 5 minutes


Serve warm and drizzle with your favorite syrup and powdered sugar, enjoy!

  1. The waffles were very tasty but for some reason they stuck to the sides so when I pulled open the iron the waffle came apart. It was still very good and it might just be that this was my first time using our waffle iron so it might take some practice.
