This tropical summer cocktail is made citrus, fruit juice and rum, as well as our own Almondmilk Orgeat.

This tropical summer cocktail is made citrus, fruit juice and rum, as well as our own Almondmilk Orgeat.

For the Almondmilk Orgeat:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat and stir until dissolved.
  2. Pour the syrup into a glass jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. Tip: If you add 2 Tbsp. of vodka, the syrup will last up to 4 weeks.

For the Cocktail:

  1. Add ingredients to a shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled glass, rimmed with shredded coconut.
  2. Garnish with a few pomegranate seeds and a mint leaf.

Notes:

This punch is versatile! Use whatever dark and light rums you have on hand. If you don’t have a lemon, you can simply double the lime. For a variation, try mango juice instead of pineapple juice. For an optional garnish, add a shake of cinnamon or allspice.
