Cold Hands, Warm Heart – Chocolate Dipped Stir Spoons

By: So Delicious

When the temperature outside drops, nothing brings comfort and joy quite like homemade hot chocolate with extra chocolate love stirred in. And where do all of those warm feelings lead? Yep, straight to thoughtful giving. To help you share the spirit of the season, we stirred up a little something we know your friends and family will love. How could they not? It’s pure decadence on a spoon. And all you’ll need are a few simple ingredients. You probably already have them on hand!

Recipe here: Chocolate Dipped Stir Spoons

Set up a station with all of your favorite toppings. Sea salt, peppermint candies, marshmallows and citrus zest are just a few ideas that we came up with. Then, melt some allergen-free chocolate in a double boiler and add 3 tablespoons of our Coconutmilk or Almondmilk Beverage.

Don’t have a double boiler? It’s okay, you’re not the only one. We put a glass bowl on a saucepan of boiling water and stirred until our buns shook. The chocolate melted completely!

Any spoons you’re happy to give away will work great. We happened to have these gorgeous vintage spoons in our kitchen and couldn’t resist using them (hmm… maybe we’ll invite everyone over for hot chocolate after caroling instead).  Dip each spoon into the chocolate and set them side by side on parchment paper. While the decadent love on a spoon is still melty and hot, decorate each one with toppings in any yummy combination you like.

Until you’re ready to stir these gorgeous treats into homemade hot chocolate or give them away, place them in your refrigerator to keep cold. You may still want to open the door now and then, you know, just to look.
