Top Ten Favorite Summer Music Festivals

This week’s #savemysummer theme is “Feel the Beat”. In addition to giving away some fabulous Bose headphones for your tunes, we wanted to round up a list of fantastic outdoor summer music festivals to put on your list for future summer plans!

  1. Wanderlust Festivals are a series of conscious living outdoor festivals that incorporate yoga, music and conscious living.  Classes, talks and concerts take place over several days in the United States, Canada and Australia throughout summer.  So Delicious Dairy Free is a proud sponsor of Wanderlust, and even have the occasional set of tickets to giveaway!
  2. Wills Mountain Festival at Fort Royale Farm in West Virginia is a three rock and grassroots music festival.  In addition to 30 bands, this family-friendly event feature kids’ activities, craft fairs, and music-related workshops.
  3. Arise Music Festival in Loveland, Colorado is another music festival focused on conscious living.  The festival offers yoga classes, a variety of creative acts and workshops, and music late into the night.  There is also a healer’s tent, kids’ village, and showings of independent films.
  4. The Green Music Festival in Chicago aims to connect eco-conscious people from all walks of life to celebrate brands, ideas and lifestyles that aim to creating a cleaner environment.  The music focuses on up and coming talent and the festival itself is family friendly.
  5. Camp Barefoot Music and Arts Festival in Bartow, West Virginia will help you get away from it all and clear your mind.  See a variety of art projects underway, camp out and enjoy pets and children roaming around and enjoying summer.
  6. Timber! Music Fest in Carnation, Washington focuses on community building and the natural environment.  You can kayak, participate in habitat restoration, hike, bike, swim, or watch a movie under the stars.
  7. Campfire Outdoor Adventure and Music Festival is the place for all adults who dreamed of going to summer camp as a kid.  Campfire is a three day retreat that gets you involved in a “cabin spirit” competition, as well as sports, recreation and of course, lots of music.
  8. Outside Lands is a music, art, food, beer and wine festival in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.  Complete with an Eco Lands section for celebrating sustainability the way only the bay area can, this fest features headliners from many genres.  You can also taste some great California wines, organic food, and craft brews.
  9. Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is a massive music festival boasting 11 stages and 900,000 visitors.  This 11 day celebration includes a party on the shores of Lake Michigan, a sports exhibition zone, children’s theater and several lounges for kicking back.
  10. Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago celebrates all things Midwest with a wide variety of artists big and small.  Many retail vendors are local to the area and there are fairs set up for local Chicago artists.
