asian cole slaw dairy free celebration food

This weekend is time for picnic celebration food.  Most of us in the United States will be celebrating Independence Day.  We’ve selected our favorite pins on Pinterest for our favorite summer celebration food ideas.

Your summer picnic doesn’t have to be a stressful event.  Don’t worry about food allergens or dietary needs by using our round up of delicious dairy-free party dishes.  They are also vegan and gluten free! Want more ideas?  Head over to our So Delicious Dairy Free Pinterest Page.

These mini peppers stuffed with coconut rice can add an exotic finger food to the party.  Give them some patriotic flair by using only red mini peppers and garnish them with a couple of blueberries or blue corn chips.

You can’t have a picnic without coleslaw, and this creamy Asian slaw gives a nice toasty flavor from sesame seeds against the cool crunch of the cabbage.  If you aren’t a big fan of the flavors in the Asian slaw you can also try pretty purple cabbage coconut slaw.

Try this flavorful Indian chickpea and potato salad and throw out that boring old potato salad recipe.  Want a cooler version? You can use this refreshing tzatziki sauce to dress some baby potatoes.

A fruit salad with cultured coconut milk can make any party sweet.  Use blueberries, strawberries and blackberries as the base to give it a red, white and blue look.

If you are barbecuing, this spicy chipotle dip would be a great smoky accompaniment to grilled vegetables.  For milder fans, you can never go wrong with a dairy-free ranch dip.
